1. Las Vegas Motor Speedway to allow limited attendence
Las Vegas Motor Speedway requested a limited number of fans in attendance for the upcoming NASCAR races and got it approved earlier this week. While this measure will allow a certain number of fans to partake in the race weekend at LVMS, they will have to undergo temperature checks, maintain social distancing, and have their face coverings on at all times. The vastly popular garage area will also be unavailable during the race weekend, which is where NASCAR drivers can see their fans up front and in person.
“We’re excited that we’ll have race fans in attendance for all three days of our March 5-7 NASCAR Weekend,” said LVMS president Chris Powell. “Given what our state and community have been through in the face of this terrible pandemic, we can only hope that this announcement represents some semblance of a return to normalcy.”
